Interfaith Prayer Service for
San Francisco Mayor-Elect Edwin Lee

On January 7, 2012, ICP and the San Francisco Interfaith Council hosted an Interfaith Prayer Service for San Francisco Mayor Lee on the Eve of his Inauguration at the Presidio Chapel. Here are some excerpts from the service.

 

 

2012 World AIDS Day Service

AIDS has touched the lives of millions of people of their regardless of race, gender, nationality, or religion. In response to this ongoing crisis, people of many faith traditions came together to pray, share their stories, and give each other and the world spiritual support. This service was sponsored by the Interfaith Center at the Presidio, the San Francisco Interfaith Council, and St. Mark's Lutheran Church, SF. Thanks to all who participated and bravely shared their stories.

A Conversation with Michael Krasny

On Monday, December 13, the Interfaith Center at the Presidio, San Francisco Interfaith Council and the United Religions Initiative presented an evening with Michael Krasny at the Presidio Chapel. In a conversation with Rev. Canon Charles Gibbs, director of the URI, Krasny, acclaimed host of KQED's Forum, professor at San Francisco State University, and author of Spiritual Envy: An Agnostic's Quest,spoke about his spiritual search and how he came to write the book.
